✨ New functionality on our Kaedim Studio

  1. You can now take an object that has different parts to its mesh and merge it so that it's all one object. When merged, the merge applies to the download too.

  1. Fixed the bug with floor overlapping with geometry
  2. Removed Ambinet Occlusion temporarily as it's meshing with some of our other functionality

✨ Introducing the Kaedim Studio, the next generation of our 3D viewer:

  4. Scaling functionality -> You can now re-scale and save your objects and we have also added a reference 1m3 cube

🪲 Bug fixes:

🧑‍💻 On the API front:

  1. We updated the API documentation
  2. We created a simple React app implementation on GitHub for helping people with an quicker/easier implementation. Link here
  3. We now support multiple image input through the API too (up to 6 images)

  4. When a webhook is already registered instead of an error code we return a 201 success accompanied by the current jwt. Please note that if the jwt has expired you will still need to refresh it and the one returned from the webhook register request will be an invalid one.

🪲 Last but not least, our release today deals with the following bugs:

  1. Polycount calculation on the generated meshes no longer displays weird decimal values
  2. Normals are correct on the generated mesh (no more flipped normals on objects)

Anyone can now build apps using our tech, and one of the most exciting applications will be enabling game devs to integrate 3D User Generated Content into their games giving players the power to create in 3D! 

Artists and game devs have used Kaedim Web App so far to quickly prototype, create and iterate their 3D art, in a cost effective way. However, talking to a lot of game developers, we realised something key. For the same reason games like Minecraft and Roblox are very popular, more and more people want the opportunity to customise and contribute 3D content inside their favourite games/metaverses.

This is why we created, and now introducing the Kaedim API. Within your app, enable your players to upload their 2D inspiration and easily create their own 3D content for customising and populating the game.

Another big upgrade coming your way! We have released Multi-View Synthesis! That means that if you have available multiple views of the same object you can now upload multiple files by choosing “Multiple” under the Advanced Options! With that feature our goal is to increase the amount of detail captured from our software especially when it comes to unseen details when using only one view. Happy Modelling!

With today’s release we are bringing back wireframe view functionality in our in-app 3D viewer and have updated file formats to be chosen at the point of download from a drop-down menu. The bug causing weird scaling of the 3D outputs in our viewer is also fixed! Happy Modelling!

The next update to Kaedim Maginator is now live! Today we are introducing Polycount and File-Type Options. This means that the users now have the option to give the software a target polycount for their output object ranging from 5K - 100K. Moreover, you can now download in multiple 3D formats including .obj, .fbx, .gbl, .gltf. Happy Modelling!
